Shootings In Toronto: Some Numbers and Context, We Need Changes

After hearing about a brazen and targetted shooting on Highway 400 (yes on the highway) on a Friday evening, I read some data in a recent article about Toronto shooting totals.  I went to the source for this information, and found this.

We need something different - whether it is bringing back carding (regardless of concerns from some groups), re-gaining control of our borders, better monitoring and surveillance of illegal guns coming across the border and through our often-forgotten-about ports (Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver).  Also, politicians need to show leadership ignoring the repercussions that a group may play the race/religion/ethnicity card no matter how global or "inclusive" the solution.

Figuring out who the criminals are at the time of a shooting is not helping innocent by-standers nor Canadians in general.

Hopefully a reprieve at this time of year...Merry Christmas.
