Happy non-April Fool's Carbon Tax Day! For years to come....

With 411,000 permanent residents (that can take off as soon as a green card arrives) set to arrive in 2022 (423,000 in 2023), who is more out of touch with reality - our broken ministry of Immigration, Refugee and Canadian Citizenship or this nonsensical tech group Council of Canadian Innovators?

With 411,000 permanent residents (that can take off as soon as a green card arrives) set to arrive in 2022 (423,000 in 2023), who is more out of touch with reality -  our broken ministry of Immigration, Refugee and Canadian Citizenship or this nonsensical tech group Council of Canadian Innovators?

"...There's over 200,000 positions in the tech space that are not being filled in Canada," said Benjamin Bergen, the council's president.

"At the onset of COVID, borders basically collapsed and the problem that we were seeing in terms of lack of skilled workers in the country was only exacerbated by the fact that foreign firms can now come into Canada and hire people to work remotely, increasing the pressures … on the general labour market

Your previously arrested, CN Tower climbing, enviro activist at work.  Emissions reductions of 42% for oil and gas yet only 10% for transportation sector (that burns the gas).  Fair? Unfair?

"...Oil and gas account for more than one-quarter of Canada’s total emissions. Transportation accounts for 25 per cent of total emissions, but the sector has been targeted for just a 10 per cent reduction below 2005 levels by 2030..."

Rex Again Tells it Like is: TrudeauSingh and NDPLiberals' Self Glorious Ways Of Carbon Taxing and "Fighting" Climate Change

“On Tuesday, Justin Trudeau announced a new climate plan in Vancouver. I do surely hope he included Newfoundland in that announcement because we have been waiting for a new climate since that wretched John Cabot stopped where he did.” — A note from a kind reader.

Amazing as it is, as inflation insidiously crawls across the land, skyrocketing gasoline prices freeze the blood (with a federal carbon tax increase set to hit on April Fool’s Day), as the economy is stifled by debt, supply chains rattle or crumble, and the country crawls out of the devastation of the COVID clampdowns, the Trudeau-Singh coalition government has announced its most determined climate agenda for Canada ever.

Trudeau went Tuesday to that beautiful and great coal-exporting city — Vancouver ships more coal to the world than any other North American city — to announce new targets for Canada’s carbon-dioxide emissions, and declare new promises to remake the chemical constitution of the global atmosphere

That achieved, the only other business was a little cash gathering. Save the planet and then hold a $1,675-a-plate Liberal fundraiser at a carbon-neutral hotel.

How are we leading the fight against global warming? We are a leaf on a river, nothing more. Our standing internationally is feeble or negligent; where do we stand out? On every question of crisis we are on the sidelines

Name the councils and assemblies of the world summoning the Canadian example as they cripple their energy sources, generate carbon taxes, and swear off oil and gas forever. Name one single country that has billboarded Canada as the reason they have gone net-zero. (You have several weeks to answer.)

Europe went green. It tossed away energy it had, which was both secure and reliable, and signed on to the fantasy of “let’s get to net-zero.”

Your Two Faced NDPLiberals At Work: Niw Want to Save the World By Pumping (Minusculy) More Canadian Oil and Gas

Your two Faced NDPLiberals: driving away pipeline investment so we would not be in this predicament and applying prohibitive carbon taxes to "change behaviour" in taming hydrocarbon consumption THEN doing a 180 degrees shift, now wanting to pump (minusculy) more oil and gas (we have no more distribution capacity) as soon as there is an energy crisis, magically supply other countries with Canadian energy as opposed to only going south (rendering more oil by rail), and falsely trying to reap votes of compassion that are on the line with regards to Europe/Ukraine. Brilliant!

The Non Democratic NDPLiberals Have Begun Their Meddling Threat to Canadian Democracy

Protecting their geographic base(s) to ensure a seat or two while other provinces are not protected as to the number of seats in House of Commons.

The legislation comes days after a commitment by the Liberal government to protect the number of Commons seats in Quebec in the text of a deal with the NDP.

If approved by Parliament, the bill amending the Constitution Act would make sure that the number of MPs from each province does not drop below the number they had before the last election..."

Liberal Voters Just Handed Jagmeet His Stanley Cup in Gaining a Liberal Majority No Matter What the Costs Are to Canada and Canadians

Way to go Liberal voters.  You just handed Jagmeet his Stanley Cup.  You ordered a (center) steak for yourselves from the menu but now ALL Canadians will be eating (leftist) salad for years to come.  It's official - the "NDPLiberals" have left the political center wide open for any political party to occupy.  Your Liberal party has clearly moved on from center in trying to out-NDP the NDP and now there are NO REASONS (other than a popularity contest, fear mongering or fetish for socks) for middle of the road Liberal voters to vote against the next or any political party that will move toward the political center or occupy this part of the unoffensive political spectrum - yes, even the Conservatives.  A Liberal majority no matter what political, national, financial, legislative, cultural, Commons committee costs to Canadians? God help us.

How Much Debt Does Every Canadian Man, Woman, Child Owe? It Is Not Just Your Mortgage and Credit Cards: A Hint, it Rhymes With C$530,000

Canadians and those living in Canada have reached reached record level of nearly $16 trillion (with a T). Which equates to $429,000 for every of 35 million Canadians, man, woman and child. It does not stop there. With nearly a trillion in recent record (Liberal) federal debt that is another $29,000 over every Canadian head.  Add provincial debt (yes the provinces have borrowers and spent like drunken sailors too, not just the federal Liberals) and using Ontario as a proxy, $400 billion for 13 million Ontarians equates to another C$12,000.

Is that all? Nooooo. Canadians and those living in Canada have racked up 2.2 trillion (with a T) in credit cards and consumer debt equating to $63,000 per Canadian man, woman and child.

Total of these equals $530,000 on every Canadian's head - adult or not, working or not, homeless or not.

The Geography of Russia at War With the West: Canadians Forget How Close Russia is to the North

Canada’s defence chief says protecting the country’s Arctic region is a key priority for the Armed Forces, warning that Russia has reoccupied abandoned Cold War bases in its Far North.

Speaking at a defence conference in Ottawa, Gen. Wayne Eyre said defending NATO’s northern flank “is a key area of concern” for the Canadian military.

Eyre said the threat of a Russian incursion into Canada’s Arctic from the North is very low at the moment. But the general said it could not be ruled out in the decades to come.

"...So many citizens of Canada have shown up in Ukraine to fight for the country’s new foreign legion, the organization has set up a separate Canadian battalion, says a Ukrainian government source.

"...We’re also sending along $1 million so that the Ukrainians can buy high-resolution RADARSAT-2 satellite imagery gear that will give them an edge in tracking Russian forces on the ground. This is only fitting, since the Trudeau government scuttled a commitment to provide RADARSAT-2 data to Ukraine in 2016, only months after coming to power, when Stéphane Dion was foreign affairs minister. The Ukrainians needed the data desperately, following Putin’s annexation of Crimea and occupation of Luhansk and Donetsk two years earlier. Awkward..."

Bestowed with these topmost-tier diplomatic postings after being turfed by Trudeau in 2017 and replaced by the pro-Ukraine and pro-democracy militant Chrystia Freeland, Dion has been quite understandably out of the limelight lately. During his time as foreign minister Dion was notoriously chummy with Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov.
