Both the International Energy Agency and U.S. Energy Information Agency project strong growth in oil and gas over the next decade, followed by a static supply and demand to 2050. Even static levels that high will still produce hundreds of billions in tax payments and require continued levels of investment as reservoirs dry up.
Should Canada, with the third-largest proven reserves in the world, and the largest by far of those open to independent producers, step aside to let Russia, Saudi Arabia, and other unjust regimes meet the steadily growing demand?..."
