Overwhelmingly Favoured Country of Express Entry, Permanent Residency/Immigration Applications to Canada: A Simple Mathematical, Unbiased Question - Why?

If you read this, would you ask yourself anything?

"...In 2019, ____ citizens accounted for a quarter of the 341,000 immigrants who were welcomed by Canada.."

"...______ accounted for almost half of the principal applicants who were invited to apply for permanent residence between 2017 and 2019..."

To question the sanctimonous institution of entry and immigration to Canada has been rendered taboo and runs the risk of being called many things.  However, from a purely mathematical point of view, how is it that one area of the world comprises an overwhelming majority of applicants through various programs including Express Entry, permanent residency and immigration to Canada?  Especially in a country that has preached diversity, multi-culturalism and inclusion.

Running your finger down any list of numeric items, large numbers above the average would certainly catch your eye and may cause you to simply ask why or investigate further.  Similarly, in this case, the numbers are eye catching and begs the simple question (race, religion, ethnicity, sexuality, age aside) - "why"?  Out of sheer curiousity, why would any one country be so over represented as this in a deemed multi-cultural society (some country is going to have to lay claim to having "the most", but why this magnitude)?  Another simple question, why are so many other applicants from other counties being overlooked or under represented?  Is there a new quota or does it reflect the number of total applicants?  If that is the reason then let it be known or is there another basis Canadians are not aware of?  Is Canada's immigration institution a fair and equitable system?  Is someone, some organization or something receiving a benefit from this? A consulate office? Or in Canada?
