Your Evidence and Science Based Liberals' Immigration Plans: The Power of Votes Over the Reality of Statistics

Canada's "evidence and science" based government.  The power of votes over the reality of statistics.

"Canada’s unemployment rate is high, at 8.1 per cent, compared to 6.1 per cent in the United States and 5.6 per cent in Australia. Both those countries have prudently cut back on immigration because of the recession and job losses due to the pandemic

"...according to Statistics Canada. In 2020, there was 13.5 per cent unemployment among immigrants who landed less than five years before; 11.7 per cent among those who arrived six to 10 years earlier; and 9.5 per cent among those who have been here for more than a decade..."

"Here are the facts: as of April 30, unemployment in the province was at nine per cent, which is down from a pandemic high of 13.5 per cent in May 2020, but still higher than the national average."

"...over a million immigrants in such a short time frame will only serve to drive prices even higher, which will price even more Canadians out of the market. This is especially true in large centres like Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal, which already lack affordable housing..."

"In Ontario, the waiting list to get subsidized housing is between seven and 10 years. In Montreal, 23,000 people are on a waiting list for social housing,"

"According to figures compiled by the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, police intercepted 58,939 so-called irregular border crossers from the beginning of 2017 to the end of 2020."

"So far, 17,709 have been accepted as refugees, 14,017 were rejected and 24,728 cases are pending. Only a few have been withdrawn"

"...in April 2018 and showed that 60 per cent of people in Toronto’s shelters were immigrants or refugees...."

Trudeau Fils Departs From Trudeau Pere on the Constitutional File

Although nothing has changed despite the media making a festival of the announcement (Quebec still does not have it's own passport, currency or military), French still reigns in Quebec and fir Francophones as per the agreement when the British took over New France.

However Trudeau Fils still blows away Trudeau Pere on deteriorated US relations, reckless debt and spending policies and rendering the Queen/Monarchy a mockery.

Well isn't that convenient. "It's a Great Time to Be Old" - Jim Rogers, US Investor

The famous US investor Jim Rogers says, "it's a great time to be old", meaning that demographic will not have to pay for current governments' (and central banks') financial gaffes creating huge debts, borrowing from the future to pay for today (eventually it must be paid back, somehow, someway)

"...There are programs with objectives that are clearly laid out. The $470 million over three years earmarked for the Apprenticeship Service, for example, is aimed at helping 55,000 apprentices in the construction industry and trades. Employers will receive $5,000 per apprentice, to help pay for salaries and training – $10,000 if the applicant is from an “under-represented” group, including women..."

If It Hasn't Already, One Day Canada Will Run Out of Buyers For Its Debt at This Rate...

Ever wanted to fire the individual that looks after your financial future? Well now you can, it's called voting in the next election.

"Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s fiscal road map could reduce Canada’s future spending capacity by leaving debt at elevated levels for decades, according to the nation’s budget watchdog.

In a report published Wednesday, the Parliamentary Budget Officer warned that the government’s plan would see Canada’s ratio of debt-to-gross domestic product remain higher that it was before the pandemic through 2055.

“This suggests that the government has decided to effectively stabilize the federal debt ratio at a higher level, potentially exhausting its fiscal room over the medium- and long-term,” the PBO said. That will require governments in the future to consider tax increases or spending reductions to pay for new programs, it said."

...For what have we to look at? We have two leaders, Greener than shamrocks, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Gov. Whitmer, who see themselves plucked by the goddess of destiny herself, as human ambulances rushing to save the Earth from global warming. Who colour their dreams with visions of every oil and gas project in the world evaporating, and a flood of solar panels and a wilderness of windmills covering the planet."

Real Estate Agents: When The Market Cools off "It Makes Sense" and Other Nonsensical Things They Preach

Real Estate agents have done well going back 20 years of this real estate boom. Not just from low interest rates. For years organizations like TRREB and CREB have preached and demonstrated various data points in seeming credible sources of governing bodies. However, they cannot predict anything as much as you or I. Even the head of CMHC admitted after years of detailed press release sthatbwere awaited by many news journalists to fill in their assignments for that day that they were not meant to be he crystal ball of the industry after a monumental bad outlook.

After years of preaching the fear of "get in the market before the market leaves you behind", now prices are at a plateau and to a Real Estate agent the answer is "ot makes sense". Always a positive answer for no matter what situation.

Supply: agents keep quoting "lack of supply" as the excuse for high prices. Everyone calls for it but it is not easy to roll out 50,000 homes that would put the market in balance or in a more affordable range. And with agents' commissions based on price, AGENTS WANT HIGH HOUSING PRICES, AGENTS DO NOT WANT EXTRA SUPPLY.

So Much For October 26 Deadline of CMBs: BoC Still Buying, Rates That Were Exoected to be Higher at This Point, Well....

"...Rates are supposed to rise in periods of turmoil, as a form of risk management though. You don’t want people borrowing more when things are getting worse. However, when the BoC drove rates lower – that’s exactly what happened. Real estate sales hit record volumes, while mortgage rates fell to record lows. The BoC blamed borrowers for borrowing, and then announced they would end the program on Oct 26. Except, the balance of assets are still rising..."

Canada: The Little Country That Was Once Defined By and Founded on Infrastructure/Engineering Feats (ie the Railroad), Now the Country Defined by Killing Infrastructure/Engineering Feats

As I watched an online event yesterday morning about Canada's AVRO Arrow interceptor plane project demonstrating to the world Canada's enginuity and forward thinking (albeit during cold war times), I was reminded by specific examples and exhibits of the host the monumental pace of development that occurred within a decade and a half from the planes used in the world war to the 50s.

Canada was standing on top of the world with the fastest plane in the world and proudly, shamelessly and necessarily displaying its military might.  Then one "black Friday", ordered by Diefenbaker, everyone was fired from the program, the planes and technology destroyed by welding torch and the design plans, memories, prototypes were all made to disappear as if Canada had no hand in this at all.  Who knew that drastic day would set the tone for generations later to quietly and slowly build a movement of cancellation of anything to do with development and progress in improving our Canadians lives so long as it impacted one molecular level of carbon, certain types of the tens of billions of trees or a migratory route for adaptive and evolutionary organisms, that may not even be home to Canada.
