CFL Week 7: Third String Quarterbacks' Week

Stampeders at Tiger Cats: Hamilton Wins 23 - 17

In an early season where most teams rely on two quarterbacks mostly due to injuries we are on to the third stringers now. David Watford filling in for Evans and Masoli was able to claw a win thanks to turnovers off Calgary including the league wide disliked Simoni Lawrence scoring a pick six. Calgary had the ball bounce off a returners helmet for turnovers....twice. Who would have thought a 2-5 start fir the almighty Stampeders? Panic stations.

Argonauts at Roughriders: Saskatchewan wins 30 - 16

Although the score did not reflect the total game, the Argos were within inches of various plays that could have turned this game around. However, when you are dealing with a defense that stops you on 3rd and goal, maybe you didn't deserve to win. Arbuckle still the starter although MBT waiting in the weeds for his break in this dynamic duo race.

Lions at Alouettes: BC Wins 23 - 17

Technically the first two QB system in game 1 of this season, Reilly now putting three wins together with Montreal being his favourite team with most wins for him facing the Als.  Montreal squandered opportunities after knocking on the end zone more than once and walking away with 15 points in field goals.

Blue Bombers at Elks: Winnipeg Wins 37 - 22

The Blue Bombers machine keeps rolling with only one loss this year to the pesky Argos.  Add Edmonton to the list of injured QBs. In comes Cornelius for the injured Trevor Harris in a valiant effort but fumbling on your own goal line with Winnipeg's Bugzilla nearby is going to make you pay. At 16 completions for 33 passes, Edmonton may not have had a chance.  Edmonton still winless at home.
