Oh "fuddle duddle". The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. The prophecy of Trudeau père continues to be played out by Trudeau fils: alienated Western Canada, reckless energy policy, racked up huge government debts without any understanding of economics, invoked the Emergencies Act (although Trudeau père had more "national" and real violent reasons to invoke the War Measures Act), pissed off at least one US leader during his term, now cursed in the House of Commons. The only thing left is to have mocked the Queen openly behind her back but Trudeau fils' lack of vetting the previous Governor General may have showed what his respect for the Crown really is. (But where is he on bilingualism and ethics?)
